On your own server

Your server, your conversations.

Anten brings voice rooms, text chat, camera and screen sharing together in one installation. You run it, you share its address. Voice and video are end-to-end encrypted by default, messages in the rooms you choose.

The server relays, it cannot read. By default, voice, camera and screen are encrypted on your device; messages and files are too in encrypted rooms and direct messages. The server sees who is in which room, times and sizes, never the content. Security in detail

The server is yours

Anten runs as a single program on your machine. Accounts, rooms and files stay there; it depends on no other service.

End-to-end encrypted

By default, voice and video are encrypted before they leave the device. The server only forwards sealed packets and never sees the keys.

Clear voice

Advanced noise suppression, a gate that opens for speech and automatic levels for clear, low-latency conversation.

A quick tour

A closer look at Anten

Voice rooms, one click away

Voice rooms sit in the room list as cards, and a ring around a name shows who is speaking. Microphone, sound and sharing controls stay at hand in the voice bar at the top.

What is inside

Everything a community needs

Voice rooms

Move between rooms with one click, use push-to-talk, decide who may speak room by room.

Camera and screen sharing

Share your screen with its sound; the picture adapts to each viewer's connection by itself.

Text chat

Replies, reactions, pinned messages, polls, files and the server's own emoji.

Direct messages

One-to-one conversations or groups of up to ten; always end-to-end encrypted.

Fine-grained permissions

Server and channel groups, power values, room passwords, bans and an audit log.

Bots and integrations

Bots with commands, buttons and menus, a music bot, and webhooks for outside systems.

How it works

Your own server in three steps

  1. Set up the server

Run Anten with Docker Compose on your own machine or a rented server. The first start gives you an administrator key.

  2. Share the address

Give your community the server's address. You decide who may join and how many may connect.

  3. Connect

People connect from the browser or the desktop app. No account needed: the device makes its own identity key, and a nickname is enough.

Privacy

Encrypted content stays closed to the server
